After experiencing solo cruises on various cruise lines, I decided to try out Celebrity Cruises on their newest ship, Celebrity Ascent, for a week-long trip to the Eastern Caribbean. While cruising alone allows for the opportunity to make new friends and explore at your own pace, it can also be a lonely experience during certain aspects such as shore excursions and dining. The spacious stateroom and ability to structure my day around personal preferences were definite pros, while the single supplement fee and lack of dedicated events for solo cruisers were cons. Overall, cruising alone with Celebrity Cruises had its ups and downs, but it was still a memorable experience worth trying. What are your thoughts on solo cruising and its pros and cons?
